Meet the Team

  • Dr. Timothy J. Wahlberg has spent 25 years advocating, educating, and treating children, adolescents, adults, and their families about living with Autism. He has published extensively on Autism and is the author of Finding the Gray: Understanding and Thriving in the Black and White World of Autism and Asperger’s. Dr. Wahlberg has recently written a number of books for children/adolescents and their families about understanding and managing life with autism.

    Dr. Wahlberg is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified School Psychologist. He has expert knowledge in the areas of autism and neurological impairments.

    Dr. Wahlberg enjoys being with his family and spending time outdoors. He currently resides in St. Charles, IL with his wife Stacey, their 7 children, and 2 dogs.

  • Dr. Kerry Gremo is a licensed clinical psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. She is a certified bilingual school psychologist in Spanish. Dr. Gremo completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Illinois Wesleyan University and her Ed.S. and Ph.D. in school psychology at the University of Kansas. She has experience working with children and families in schools, a psychiatric hospital, and a private practice clinic.

    Dr. Gremo’s clinical specialties are in clinical and psychoeducational evaluation with expertise in preschool evaluations. Her specialties also include behavioral consultation with parents and educators, and individual and family counseling. Dr. Gremo’s primary area of expertise is with individuals with developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and intellectual disability, as well as mood disorders and general behavioral challenges. She also has skills in assessing individuals with severe and profound disabilities.

    Dr. Gremo works with children from preschool through adolescence. When she’s not working, Dr. Gremo enjoys going to the movies, baking, and spending time with her family.

  • Dr. Christina Brown is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and her Master’s Degree and Ph.D. at Northern Illinois University. She has experience in psycho-educational and psychological assessment, therapy, and consultation for a broad range of behaviors.

    A practicing school psychologist for the past 10 years, her experience working in schools greatly benefits her school-aged clients and their parents, especially those experiencing challenges in the school setting. A supportive, collaborative clinician, Dr. Brown partners with her clients to identify areas of strength, and current trouble spots, and to establish client-centered therapeutic goals.

    Her theoretical orientation is steeped in behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and solution-focused practices and techniques to help clients build skills, decrease symptomology, and improve outcomes. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families who are dealing with behavioral and/or emotional distress and want to change behavior patterns that prevent them from experiencing success.

  • Dr. Lisa Sandlund is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings including the pediatric medical setting, inpatient and outpatient hospital setting, and private practice. Dr. Sandlund has taught multiple college courses in undergraduate and graduate school programs and has provided clinical supervision for doctoral therapy and neuropsychological assessment interns. She has a special interest in diagnostic assessment and therapeutic intervention specific to neurodevelopmental disorders.

    Dr. Sandlund is committed to collaborative, interdisciplinary and evidenced-based approach to support the full potentiation of each individual. She views assessment and therapy as a means to clarifying concerns and developing a positive path forward.

    Neuropsychological/Psychological Testing

    Dr. Sandlund works with children, adolescents and adults to identify their areas of strength as well as relatively less well developed abilities. Neuropsychological assessment can provide diagnostic clarification that informs treatment recommendations. Dr. Sandlund specializes in the areas of autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorders; mood disorders; anxiety disorders; depressive disorders and adjustment concerns.

    Therapy

    Dr. Sandlund provides supportive interventions with children, adolescents and adults with a variety of presenting concerns including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, obsessive compulsive disorder, mood disorders as well as anxiety and adjustment issues. She ensures that treatment is interdisciplinary and invites collaboration and coordination with schools and other providers. She emphasizes a practical approach to goal setting and treatment planning and encourages tailored treatment to best fit the needs of each individual.

    In her free time, Dr. Sandlund likes to walk historic cities, boat, run, design interiors and is finally learning to cook. Her family is currently in collaboration with the Progressive Beulah Church in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood of Chicago to develop a youth community center that will provide counseling services; after school activities and recreation, tutoring and college preparation assistance. She and her husband have 2 grown children.

  • Rebecca is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children and families. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Carthage College and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a concentration in school social work.

    Rebecca has primarily worked in elementary school settings, where she specializes in supporting social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Her experience includes crisis intervention, risk assessment, and suicide prevention.

    Rebecca takes a collaborative, supportive, and client-centered approach to therapy. She uses both strength-based and evidence-based practices to help clients achieve their treatment goals. She provides a warm, safe, and welcoming space where clients can navigate life transitions, manage behavioral and emotional challenges, cope with loss, and develop executive functioning skills, healthy routines, and positive habits.

    Her therapeutic approach incorporates a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and grounding strategies.

    Rebecca specializes in working with elementary-aged children and adolescents with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. She provides individual therapy, as well as parenting and family support. Her areas of focus include school refusal and anxiety, social communication skills, behavioral challenges, academic difficulties, anger management, coping skill development, self-advocacy, and navigating life transitions.

    Outside of her professional work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. In her free time, she likes working out, reading, watching sports, listening to music, and traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.

  • Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Carthage College and her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Aurora University, with a concentration in school social work. Melissa has worked primarily in the school setting and most recently served in a middle school in a specialized role that focused on crisis intervention, risk assessment, and suicide prevention. In this role she also served as a liaison between mental health hospital programs and the school.

    With a warm, collaborative approach, Melissa supports clients so they can actualize their potential, navigate stuck points, and lean into what will serve them well. Whether you're adjusting to a new phase of life, coping with loss, dealing with challenging emotions, or working to create new habits, Melissa offers a space to work collaboratively and move toward meaningful change.

    Drawing from evidence-based practices, Melissa helps clients develop insight, break free from self-limiting patterns, and reconnect with their strengths. Melissa believes healing begins with feeling truly seen and heard—and from there, growth becomes possible. She utilizes a strengths based and client centered approach and incorporates various counseling techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Techniques.

    On a personal note, Melissa currently lives with her husband Jeremy, her two teenage children, and her dog. In her free time, she enjoys music, spending time outdoors, walking with her husband and her dog, and watching movies.

  • Leslee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 23 years of experience working with children and families. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, with a concentration in school social work.


    Leslee focuses on a client-centered approach when working with her clients. She uses both strength-based and evidence-based practices to help clients achieve their treatment goals. Her therapeutic approach incorporates a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and grounding strategies.


    Leslee specializes in working with elementary-aged children and adolescents with ADHD, autism, anxiety, behavior disorders, and mood disorders. She provides individual therapy, as well as parenting and family support. Her areas of focus include social communication skills, behavioral challenges, academic difficulties, anger management, coping skill development, executive functgioing deficits, school refusal and anxiety, and self-advocacy.


    Outside of her professional work, Leslee enjoys spending time with her husband, children and family dog. She is a huge sports fan. She is also active in the St. Charles community. 

  • Mark Moeller is a licensed School Psychologist who has over 10 years of experience working with individuals ages 3 to 22. Mark completed his Bachelor's Degree at Loras College in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice and specialized in neuropsychology. He then obtained his Educational Specialist Degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Mark has worked in residential care facilities, elementary schools and high schools throughout his professional career.

    Mark's clinical experience falls within psychoeducational evaluation and assessment, counseling students with anxiety and depression, providing counseling and behavioral support for students who have intellectual disabilities, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorders, autism spectrum disorders, executive functioning disorders, and concerns with learning within a school setting. He often also works with students who have difficulty regulating their moods and behaviors across both school and home settings and with individuals who identify as LGBTQ(+).

    In addition to being a school psychologist, Mark enjoys being a high school track and field coach, spending time with his wife and daughters, and golfing when he can.
